Conference theme: “Hydrocarbons and the Chemical Industry: Shaping a better world together”
Brussels/Berlin, 30th July 2015. Once again the European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) will hold its Annual Meeting for its company members in Berlin. In recent years the capital of Germany has been the host many times, the last time being 2013. The 49th edition of the meeting is taking place from October 3rd to 7th and will gather more than 2,700 delegates from all over the world allowing for a multifaceted exchange and plenty of networking options. The theme of this year’s edition is “Hydrocarbons and the Chemical Industry: Shaping a better world together” featuring a thought provoking program with world-class speakers.
The EPCA Annual Meeting is a one of a kind conference bringing together top executives from our multinational member companies, most of whom are multinational companies. The four-day meeting allows for a high-level exchange as well as global networking and perfectly reflects the work of EPCA: A worldwide quality network made of chemical producers, their suppliers and customers for which EPCA serves as a platform to meet, exchange information and think tank.
Highlight of the conference are the five sessions of which each focusses on a topic of high relevance for the business community and is held by an eminent speaker. Working language of the entire conference is English.

Commitment for the future
Besides providing a platform for the chemical industry, EPCA is also involved in a variety of projects that are of interest to this industry: supply chain and logistics management, diversity & gender inclusion or young talent development in order to help nurture a new generation of young academics in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). In the context of this work EPCA is currently working on a third educational film that continues to provide insight into the petrochemical industry, which is a good industry to work for. This film will be officially launched at the Berlin Mini-Marathon on September 26th – an event of which EPCA is also a sponsor.
